Emily Lantz is a graduate of Whitman College and has been tutoring students from kindergarten through college for seven years. She has extensive experience working with students on reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, analysis, and writing, including with students in college courses.
Emily also has excellent experience working with middle and elementary school students in mathematics. Additionally, Emily has helped prepare students for the reading and writing based portions of the SAT, on which she achieved nearly perfect scores. For Emily, teaching is a passion more than it is a job- she enjoys engaging students in a positive, supportive, and fun learning environment with the goal of creating self-motivated and life-long learners.
Learning is a process of growth and creativity, and Emily seeks to identify the needs of each individual student so that she can address them in the most effective manner possible. Emily loves working with students of all ages, personalities, and skill sets, and wants to help each student gain confidence and realize his or her full potential.
